Since its inception in 1979, Think Patented has been pushing the boundaries of print and marketing communications. With a reputation for providing clients with cutting edge service and delivery, Think Patented strictly partners with organisations that can deliver a simple user experience, without compromising functionality and flexibility.
However, they had become frustrated with their Web-to-Print platforms, which lacked compatibility with their other systems and the functionality clients demanded.
We sat down with Sean Ferguson, who is responsible for technology and development at Think Patented, to discuss why they partnered with Infigo in 2018 and haven’t looked back since.
Q: How has Infigo’s software (Web-To-Print) solution impacted your and your clients’ businesses?
"We’re able to offer way more solutions for our customers. With previous platforms, we had to really stay in the box and we had to sell that box! You could only offer a certain look and type of storefront and that was it.
Since having Catfish, we have been able to cross sell existing clients with larger, more complex storefronts. We've also been able to gain new clients with custom integrations, like a PunchOut Catalog as well as Single Sign On (SSO)."
Q: What do you like the most about the Infigo Software platform?
"Its flexibility. Not only in terms of its API but the separation of storefronts. The ability to create completely unique custom storefronts is huge for us. We have many clients, from different industries, and they all have their own business requirements.
Beyond that, it would be front end, ease of use and being able to white label everything. Every time we do a client demo, inevitably they just say 'Wow, it looks super clean and easy to use'."
Q: How has Infigo Software helped in improving efficiency, ROI and ease of use?
"Over the years of acquiring different companies, and at Think Patented ourselves, we had a bunch of disparate systems and clients everywhere on different platforms. Catfish was the only one that could really accommodate the feature set of all of them combined. Once we get everyone on the same platform, I think the efficiency gained and the ROI will be huge."
Q: What would you say to anyone thinking about investing in a Web-To-Print solution?
"Think about not only what your current clients want, but also what you perceive them wanting five to ten years from now and choosing a platform that has the customisation, the flexibility that you can grow into. Over the years, we quickly outgrew a lot of our platforms, so you need to think ahead and get a platform that not only serves your current clients need but your clients needs five to ten years from now."
Q: What’s the difference between Infigo and other Web-To-Print solutions?
"Infigo focus more on the end user, where I feel like other vendors focus on the production side first and then build a web interface.
What our clients are demanding nowadays, they want an all encompassing experience. They don't want to just order business cards. They want their stationery. They want to design templates online. They want to get digital downloads. They want to have all these custom integrations. And I think what Infigo has developed is honestly years ahead of anything else I’ve come across."
Q: What do you like the most about the Infigo Software team?
"They're all very prompt to answer any issues or concerns or questions. Whether we’re looking for resources or asking a question, they’ve all been a delight to work with."
